Murugadoss- Down South

Posted on: July 10, 2009

Murugadoss- Down SouthDirector Murugadoss is among the top league directors now in India. His Tamil ?Ghajini? rocketed him to the success skies and it went on to be re-made in Hindi. Bollywood has roped him for good with a string of offers but he has not forgotten the initial days of his life and village.

Murugadoss comes from a small village near Kallakurichi in Tamil Nadu. He used to watch movies in a theatre called Govindaraj, where he developed interest and passion towards film industry.
It is heard that Murugadoss has now purchased this theatre and is renovating it with the latest infrastructure as this is a place of birth to his dreams. It is also heard that he has got few more plans for his village and they would be rolled out soon.
Having worked and succeeded in both South and North, he was asked to share his opinion on the South and North industries. ?In Bollywood work is more organized whereas the Southern film industry is like guerrilla warfare.? says the young director.
He adds that this makes working in the South difficult at the same time more exciting. He also feels that in South, film makers are more inclined towards perfection and expect the best in everything. In Bollywood, however, people go a bit easy on that.
Points taken and compliments for his attachment with his roots?
