Who will get Maaveeran?

on:Magadheera, the smash hit film starring Ram Charan Teja, is all set to be remade in Tamil. Although there are reports that Ajith could star in this film, there is no official confirmation yet. Reports also suggest that the film could be renamed after the super hit yesteryear film Maaveeran, which had Rajinikanth playing the lead role.
Meanwhile, Kollywood is abuzz with news that Kalaipuli S Thanu is gearing up to produce the film in Tamil.

Shriya to walk the red carpet

on:Excited over this, the actress says that it is an honor to rub shoulders with international film celebrities. She revealed that she has discussed her costumes with her designer. Known for stirring up several controversies for wearing skimpy clothes during several events in Kollywood, she was quizzed about her preference, to which Shriya said that she would consider wearing clothes that will reflect the Indian tradition. The lady hinted that she may wear a saree during the event.

Kandein Kadhalai’s van promo

on:The campaign has attracted a lot of people and it has turned out to be a good venture to promote the film and its music. The van will travel all over Tamil Nadu and come to an end on August 31st.
Kandein Kadhalai is the remake of the Hindi film Jab We Met. It stars Bharath and Tammannah in the lead roles and the film is directed by Kannan.

Vikram wants Bollywood directors

on:However, in a recent interview to a popular news paper, the actor said that he is not familiar with the Hindi language and this would be a barrier in understanding what the director wants. But Vikram was quick enough to add that he would never miss a role if it was offered by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra or Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

No wedding bells for Chaya Singh

According to the actress, she wishes to stay in the film industry and work in some meaningful projects. Meanwhile, the actress is busy with Anandapurathu Veedu, directed by Naga and produced by Shankar’s S Pictures.

Speaking at the event, Kamal rued that late Sivaji Ganesan was not given due recognition in the country. The actor, however, pointed out that the scenario is slowly changing for the better.
Kamal pointed out that Tamilians do not differentiate between a hero and an anti hero but applaud the performance when it is top class. On a final note, he appealed to Shobana to conduct a play on Maya Narakasura.

Salman wants an IPL team

on:The three new cities that are looking for someone to own their IPL teams are Ahmedabad, Nagpur and Vishakhaptanam. Mr. Modi was quoted by The Hindu, as saying, “Today we had a brief meeting and I explained him how to go about with the task. I can assure you that Salman is not the only star who is thinking to buy a team. I have had around 28 queries and the list will surely go up.”
